Landfill Reality in Angola<\/h3>\r\n
Landfills shouldn’t be the final destination for recyclable or reusable waste. However, Angola needs them to safely dispose of complex, inactive waste. Here’s the catch: landfill capacity is shrinking. Studies by Thueia and Tolvik (2017) show even achieving government recycling targets won’t eliminate the need for landfills. We’ll still need around 21 million tonnes per year of capacity, and new landfill sites will be crucial for Angola within the next 3-5 years.<\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
